Think a storm damaged your roof?

Don't climb up there. We'll inspect it for you — free, no obligation.

Hail and wind damage is hard to read from the ground and genuinely dangerous to check yourself. We'll go up, photograph what we find, and give you a written assessment — whether or not there's anything worth filing a claim over.

Newly installed asphalt shingle roof on Michigan home

What we check, and what you get

The inspection takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Nothing is billed and nothing is owed at the end of it.

What we look at

  • Hail bruising and granule displacement across every slope
  • Wind-lifted, creased, and missing shingles
  • Flashing at chimneys, valleys, and sidewalls
  • Vent boots, ridge cap, and drip edge
  • Gutters and downspouts for dents and separation
  • The attic side — daylight, moisture staining, and wet insulation

What you receive

  • Dated photographs of everything we find
  • A written assessment in plain language
  • Documentation prepared to the standard an adjuster expects
  • An honest answer on whether a claim is worth filing at all

How a storm claim actually goes

Four steps, roughly. We have a full guide on the adjuster meeting itself — this is the shape of the whole thing.

  1. 1.You file the claim

The claim is between you and your carrier — we don't file it for you. Most carriers want it opened reasonably soon after the storm, so it's worth calling them once you have a reason to think there's damage.

  2. 2.We document the damage

We inspect, photograph, and prepare a scope of work your adjuster can reference. Having that ready before the adjuster arrives is the single most useful thing you can do for your own claim.

  3. 3.The adjuster inspects

Your carrier sends an adjuster to assess the damage themselves. We'll meet them on the roof if you'd like us there, so the damage we documented and the damage they record are the same list.

  4. 4.The work gets scheduled

If the claim is approved, we bill according to the approved scope. Your out-of-pocket is your deductible. If it isn't approved, you're under no obligation to us and you owe nothing for the inspection.

After a big storm, everyone shows up

A hail event brings crews into Metro Detroit from out of state within days. Some are good. The problem is that you cannot tell which from a knock on the door, and by the time a workmanship problem shows up two winters later, the truck is three states away.

Qualified Construction has been at 46089 Grand River Ave in Novi for 44 years. You can look up our Michigan license, drive to our office, and find us in the same place when the roof needs something a decade from now. That is the entire argument, and it is not one a storm-chasing crew can make.

Whoever you end up hiring, three things are worth checking before you sign: a local address you could actually visit, a Michigan builder's license number you can verify yourself, and a clear answer to what exactly you are signing — particularly anything that hands your insurance claim over to the contractor.
